Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ communication needs in an educational setting near Arvada, CO. This contract opportunity is crafted for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with children and fostering strong progress across the academic year. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are in your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your expertise and enthusiasm are welcomed.
This position offers a consistent 32-hour workweek, allowing you to make a significant impact while enjoying work-life balance. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address speech, language, and communication challenges and help students achieve their fullest potential in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Colorado
- Accepting candidates with CCC or those who are current Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students overcome communication obstacles
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop plans of care for students with speech/language disorders
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate on educational strategies
- Uphold best practices in evidence-based pediatric speech-language therapy
