About the role

Neowellnez is seeking a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to join our growing behavioral health outpatient practice and support our Psychological Testing and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services.
This role will support the continued development of our Psychological Testing and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services. The psychologist will focus on diagnostic interviews, test interpretation, report writing, treatment planning, clinical oversight, and program support.
The psychologist will also provide clinical direction and appropriate review of IOP diagnostic intakes and treatment plans completed by master's-level clinicians, consistent with applicable licensure, payer, regulatory, and Neowellnez requirements.
This is a hybrid position that is primarily in person at our Overland Park clinic, with flexibility to complete certain report-writing, documentation, treatment-plan review, and other appropriate responsibilities remotely.
Newly licensed psychologists and recent doctoral graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be independently licensed in Kansas, or able to obtain the required Kansas licensure before beginning independent clinical duties. Strong doctoral training and demonstrated competency in psychological assessment may be considered in place of extensive post-licensure experience.
Neowellnez is open to candidates seeking either part-time or full-time opportunities. Scheduling and anticipated hours will be discussed during the interview process based on candidate availability, patient volume, program needs, and mutual agreement.

Compensation for this position is $75–$90 per hour, based on experience, licensure, psychological testing expertise, supervisory experience, and other job-related qualifications.

What you'll do

Psychological Testing

• Conduct initial diagnostic interviews for psychological testing clients.
• Determine appropriate testing strategies and test batteries based on referral questions and clinical presentation.
• Review, interpret, and integrate standardized psychological testing results.
• Integrate clinical interviews, testing data, collateral information, and relevant records into comprehensive evaluations.
• Prepare accurate and clinically appropriate psychological and/or neuropsychological reports within the clinician's scope of competence.
• Conduct feedback sessions with patients and/or families.
• Develop recommendations and treatment-planning guidance based on evaluation findings.
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to the Test Administrator/Psychometrist in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Support quality assurance for psychological testing services.

IOP Clinical Oversight

• Provide clinical direction and consultation for Neowellnez's developing Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Review IOP diagnostic intakes completed by qualified master's-level clinicians.
• Review treatment plans and provide applicable clinical approval, co-signature, or oversight.
• Support clinical decision-making regarding appropriateness for IOP services.
• Provide consultation regarding treatment goals, progress, discharge planning, and escalation of care.
• Support clinical quality and consistency across the IOP program.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Clinical Leadership

• Help establish standards for psychological testing, diagnostic documentation, and clinical quality.
• Support development and implementation of clinical workflows, protocols, and documentation standards.
• Participate in clinical consultation and case review as needed.
• Assist with identifying training and competency needs for applicable clinical staff.
• Support continuous quality improvement as Neowellnez expands its clinical programs.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic health record.
• Follow applicable HIPAA, confidentiality, ethical, documentation, and patient-safety requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, or another qualifying psychology program.
• Completion of required supervised clinical training and internship.
• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Psychologist in Kansas, or ability to obtain Kansas licensure before beginning independent clinical practice.
• Demonstrated training and competency in psychological assessment, test interpretation, and report writing.
• Strong diagnostic interviewing and clinical formulation skills.
• Ability to provide clinical oversight and consultation within applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary behavioral health environment.
• Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care.
• Commitment to HIPAA, patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and documentation standards.

Preferred

• Previous outpatient behavioral health or private-practice experience.
• Experience supervising psychometrists or Test Administrators.
• Experience supervising, consulting with, or providing clinical oversight to master's-level behavioral health clinicians.
• Experience with IOP, PHP, or other structured behavioral health programs.
• Experience with utilization review, medical-necessity documentation, or payer requirements.
• Experience evaluating conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders, executive-functioning concerns, or related psychological conditions.
• Experience developing or overseeing clinical programs.
• Prior leadership or private-practice experience is preferred but not required. Newly licensed psychologists and qualified recent graduates with strong psychological assessment training are welcome to apply.
