DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE

Location Orange County Salary Range A: $4,055.00 – $4,837.00 per week B: $4,390.00 – $5,495.00 per week C: $5,041.00 – $6,310.00 per week Job Type Permanent, Full Time. In Office, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday Responsibilities Determine claimant eligibility for State Disability Insurance (SDI) Program benefits including Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and Nonindustrial Disability. Conduct fact‑finding interviews, respond to inquiries, and perform claim processing activities in accordance with laws, regulations, rules, and policies. Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service. Develop and provide training that emphasizes consistent application of law, regulation, policy, procedures, medical‑duration control techniques, program integrity practices, and processes. Record and maintain overpayment (OP) documents, process OPs, and conduct follow‑up collection actions for both claimant and third‑party overpayments with appropriate documentation. Might act as an expert witness before the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Comply with office security requirements. Travel and overtime may be required. Protect program integrity by identifying and reporting any suspected fraudulent claims and/or activities.
