General ManagerIn conjunction with the Board of Directors, the General Manager will manage the business of the association to deliver exceptional services and solutions that enhance the value of the property and the lifestyle of the residents.The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory and HOA specific experience.Compensation: $95,000- $115,000 annually, depending on experienceFirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Your ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and operational oversight of the high-rise community, ensuring efficient management of building operations, staff, vendors, and resident servicesPartner with the Board of Directors to implement strategic goals, provide operational guidance, and ensure effective governance of the associationPrepare Board meeting materials, management reports, and financial summaries; attend and facilitate Board and annual membership meetings as requiredOversee financial management of the association, including development and administration of the annual budget, capital planning, review of monthly financial statements, variance reporting, and monitoring of accounts payable and delinquenciesDirect and supervise on-site staff including assistant managers, concierge/front desk teams, and maintenance personnel; provide coaching, performance management, and leadership to ensure strong service deliveryOversee building operations including maintenance, engineering systems, life safety systems, elevators, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, and common area operations to ensure safety and reliabilityCoordinate and manage vendors and contractors, including competitive bidding, contract oversight, performance monitoring, and compliance with insurance and regulatory requirementsConduct regular inspections of the property including common areas, amenities, building systems, and exterior elements to ensure the property is well maintained and operating efficientlyEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the association’s governing documents, policies, and proceduresOversee compliance and architectural control processes, including violation management, design review coordination, and enforcement of community standardsLead major repair projects, capital improvements, and reserve-funded initiatives while coordinating with the Board, vendors, and consultantsServe as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, residents, vendors, and the management companyCommunicate regularly with residents and the Board regarding operational updates, projects, and community initiativesReview incident reports and ensure appropriate response, documentation, and resolution of safety or operational issuesMaintain accurate operational records, contracts, reports, and association documentationPerform other duties as assignedSkills and QualificationsProficient with MS Office suiteTremendous listener with the ability to diffuse tense situationsAble to identify issues and resolve before problems ariseHighly detail-oriented and thorough, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all workExceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate strong working relationships and promote teamworkExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and ideasCollaborative and cooperative, working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goalsEffective leader and motivator, inspiring others to achieve their best and providing guidance and support to team membersEducation and ExperienceCMCA, CAAM or M-100 (preferred)5+ years of HOA management experience (required)5+ years managing others (required)Physical RequirementsWalk and move throughout the community common areas and facilitiesSit and stand for moderate periods of timeSit at a desk using a computer in an office settingWork Location: Scottsdale, AZWork Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p with weekends and evenings as neededTravel Requirements: Some local travel with use of personal vehicle.
