Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,957 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Bowie, Maryland.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Bowie, MD. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask patients questions, and observe them doing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, based on the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state‑specific licensing.
• Must have standing and walking ability for long periods of time, as well as ability to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Job ID #1394931.
