Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,957 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Bowie, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Bowie, MD. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Responsibilities Review patients' medical history, ask patients questions, and observe them doing tasks. Evaluate a patient's condition and needs. Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals. Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks. Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, based on the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements. Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient. Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment. Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply. BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Must have standing and walking ability for long periods of time, as well as ability to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Job ID #1394931.
