Youth Education Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
$200kCrossover for Work
The most effective leaders understand that their success is defined not by personal accomplishments, but by the achievements of those they lead. If you have a proven track record of building exceptional teams, elevating individuals beyond their own expectations, and operating in settings where high performance is non‑negotiable, this position provides an opportunity to deploy those capabilities in service of developing tomorrow’s leaders. At Alpha, students do not sit through traditional lectures. They progress through academics via adaptive technology, while Guides concentrate on coaching, accountability, motivation, and essential life competencies. In the Lead Guide role, you will assemble and develop the team that sustains this approach—mentoring Guides, cultivating emerging leaders, and establishing conditions in which students routinely surpass benchmarks. This position is not focused on instructional coaching, nor is it conventional classroom teaching. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures, because those elements do not exist in this model. Your work centers on cultivating a culture of excellence: coaching Guides, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students toward ambitious objectives. Performance will be evaluated through the caliber of student experiences, team effectiveness, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to reach them. Alpha is constructing the world's leading K-12 educational experience. This requires leaders who have demonstrated the ability to elevate team performance, make evidence-based decisions, and adopt innovative approaches rather than defend conventional practices. If this reflects your profile, we welcome the opportunity to connect. This position is presently available at selected Alpha campuses: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; and Santa Barbara, CA. If you reside in one of these regions—or are open to relocation— we encourage you to reach out. Candidates of exceptional caliber from other locations are also invited to apply. As Alpha's footprint expands, we frequently align outstanding leaders with emerging opportunities throughout our growing campus network. What You Will Be Doing Coaching Guides to deliver outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards consistently. Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 students. Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and maximize their progress within self‑directed academic pathways. Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results. Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture grounded in excellence, accountability, and ongoing growth. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject‑specific lectures. Developing lesson plans or designing curriculum materials. Compromising standards to create superficial feelings of success rather than supporting genuine mastery. Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular coaching engagement with students and Guides. Maintaining outdated methods merely because "that's how it's always been done." Youth Education Manager Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student consistently experiences Alpha's three core promises through the development of high‑performing Guides, the delivery of compelling life skills sessions, and the maintenance of unwavering standards for student achievement. Basic Requirements Willingness to work on‑site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role. Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people. Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements. Experience working with children ages 5‑14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting. Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular programs. Exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills. A track record of achieving high levels of academic, professional, or athletic performance. Experience motivating teams through ambitious goals while maintaining high accountability. A passion for challenging conventional education and helping shape a new model for K-12 learning.
