This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience in event programming, communications, marketing, social media, and community engagement.You'll work closely with an Executive Director we absolutely love working with and join a welcoming, collaborative organization. We've already placed another member of this team who has since been hired permanently and is thriving.The immediate need is temporary, but there is real potential for this position to evolve as the organization determines its longer-term staffing needs. If you're hoping to build a career in marketing, PR, communications, nonprofit work, programming, or events, this is the kind of role where you can get exposure to all of it.The ScheduleMonday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM Weekends: NONE Pay: $22/hourWhat You'll DoAt its core, your job is to make sure programs and events actually happen—and happen well. You'll look ahead at the calendar, identify what each upcoming event needs, and make sure all the pieces are in place. That could mean confirming rooms and setup, coordinating security or tech support, communicating with speakers or participants, creating promotional materials, and following established processes to keep everything organized.You'll also:Coordinate logistics for educational programs, community events, lifecycle events, speakers, and private eventsMaintain calendars and make sure upcoming programs are fully preparedCreate the organization's weekly email newsletter using Constant ContactCreate simple flyers, graphics, and promotional materialsHelp promote events through email, social media, the website, and community partnersUse tools like Canva or PosterMyWall; experience is helpful, but these are easy to learnTrack attendance and program-related expensesAssist with quarterly mailingsHelp with community and membership outreachOccasionally provide backup at the front desk when phones or visitor traffic get busy.Who We're Looking ForWe're much more interested in your competency, attitude, and potential than in finding someone with the "perfect" background.You may be a great fit if you're the person who naturally keeps everyone organized, notices the detail someone else missed, and enjoys having both structured tasks and creative projects on your plate.We'd especially love to meet someone who:Is exceptionally organized and dependableCan juggle multiple deadlines without losing track of detailsCommunicates professionally and comfortably with different types of peopleEnjoys planning and coordinating eventsHas a creative side and would enjoy making flyers or social contentIs comfortable learning new technology and following established SOPsTakes initiative instead of waiting to be told every next stepIs coachable, adaptable, and collaborativeWants to learn and growExperience with marketing, event planning, or graphic design is helpful but not required. The Temple will also consider relevant experience in place of a degreeThis isn't a job where we need someone who has already spent five years as a Program Coordinator. We're looking for someone who could become one.Maybe you've worked in administration but want to move toward marketing. Maybe you're a recent communications or marketing grad who needs real-world experience. Maybe you've coordinated events, managed social media, worked in hospitality, or been the person behind the scenes keeping a busy office running.You'll get exposure to programming, event coordination, communications, graphic creation, social media, community engagement, membership, and nonprofit operations—all while working directly with experienced leadership.Interested?
