Records Management Specialist

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Records Management Specialist. This role focuses on organizing, maintaining, reviewing, and managing company records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and manage company records and documentation
• Review records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Update databases and recordkeeping systems
• Process, archive, and retrieve documents as needed
• Maintain digital filing systems and document repositories
• Assist with record retention and compliance procedures
• Support audits and documentation requests
• Track records-related activities and maintain logs
• Identify and correct record discrepancies
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Collaborate with internal teams regarding documentation needs
• Help improve records management processes and efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• 0–2 years of experience in administration, customer service, data entry, or support roles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
