Assembly Technician

Location Panama City, FL Shift Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Fridays per business needs as OT) Reports To Production Supervisor FLSA Status Non-Exempt Compensation $20 per hour About the Role Build electrical transformers and components on an assembly line, using basic hand tools and performing detailed, repetitive tasks. Follow safety and quality procedures and coordinate with team members and leads to keep operations running smoothly. Why Central Moloney? Responsibilities Build electrical transformers and components on an assembly line. Use basic hand tools and perform detailed, repetitive hand and finger work. Follow safety and quality procedures. Communicate with your team and leads to keep operations running smoothly. Follow instructions to assemble core steel based on customer needs and company guidelines. Install various parts onto coils, including steel pieces, padding, clips, and frames. Ensure core and coil units are assembled accurately according to set standards and customer preferences. Keep tools organized for a smooth workflow. Inspect transformer cores to ensure they meet quality standards and size requirements. Work well with team members and follow supervisor directions to meet production targets. Always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Requirements High school diploma or GED required (preferred). Willingness to learn and show up ready to work. Team‑player attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet. Experience with manual and powered hand tools. Experience with hoist/crane operation is a plus. Background check, drug and physical screening required. Physical & Environmental Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors. Perform sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed. Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear. Have manual dexterity and specific vision abilities. Maintain stamina to stand for long shifts. Communicate effectively and work as part of a team. Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
