Port Engineer / Project Manager

Project Manager of Marine Engineering Tampa, FL Primary Responsibilities Ensure proper planning and timely execution of marine compliance equipment installations and commissioning Collaborate with Chief Engineers, Port Engineers and Engineering Directors in project planning, implementation, and execution phases Provide expertise and guidance in marine environmental product installation and regulatory impact Provide viable solutions and corrective actions required to address issues encountered with the implementation of new technologies which require a higher level of expertise in the specific field Provide input to annual planning and budgeting process Preferred Qualifications BS in related engineering field (Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Environmental) 10+ years in the Maritime industry. Increasing responsibility throughout career with leadership role Sailed as Chief, First, or Second Engineer on engineering license, but not required Project Management, Port Engineering, or Technical Superintendent background a plus Strong technical and analytic skills to ensure proper equipment selection, implementation, and operation Leadership and management ability to properly plan and execute 2+ projects simultaneously Working knowledge of ABS or other class society standards, codes, and compliance requirements Strong time management skills to keep project(s) moving forward Strong communication skills are crucial in order to collaborate with multiple parties Knowledgeable in maritime regulatory framework, rules and guidelines Alternative fuel knowledge a plus (LNG) Compensation $85 – $95 an hour, based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME ACADEMY
