The CNP practices under the direct supervision of a board eligible or board-certified physician, or APRN with full practice authority. The services provided falls within the scope of overall practice by the Nurse Practitioner including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with medical and psychiatric disorders.Essential Functions:Provides clinical services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patientsDocuments each clinical visit in the medical record on the day of service.Contributes to treatment plans and discharge summaries as neededParticipates in team rounds and other clinical meetings, and helps coordinate treatment and discharge planning as neededOversees appropriate medical care and prescribes medications as noted in the "McLean Hospital Guidelines for Practice" documentMeets with families for clinical discussions as neededCommunicates with referring sources, primary care physicians, and other community providers as neededAttends program and hospital administrative meetings as requiredComplies with all hospital clinical and administrative policiesParticipates in utilization management, risk management, and quality assurance activitiesProvides supervision of health professional trainees as appropriateFacilitates integration of medical services with other clinical program servicesAttends supervision with supervising/collaborating providerDoes this position require Patient Care?
