As a Clinical Environmental Services Specialist (EVS II), you’ll execute high-level, time-sensitive disinfection and specialty floor care in critical care areas, ensuring every surface meets rigorous standards for cleanliness and infection prevention.

• Location: Irvine, CA (92618)
• Pay Rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour on W2
• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Part-time opportunities across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Full weekend availability and no schedule restrictions are required.

You begin by reviewing assignments and safety protocols, then move through priority tasks: terminally cleaning an operative/invasive area, disinfecting an isolation room, and turning over emergency department spaces. Throughout the shift, you restock supplies, remove trash and soiled linen, and complete specialty floor and carpet care projects. Over 75% of your day focuses on high-level, time-sensitive cleaning in critical patient areas. You close your shift by documenting work, maintaining equipment through basic preventive care, and preparing for the next team’s arrival.

• Clean and supply patient rooms, treatment and procedure rooms, restrooms, utility areas, nurseries, nursing stations, lounges, offices, waiting spaces, and other assigned zones per standard operating procedures.
• Perform advanced disinfecting tasks in critical environments, including discharges, isolation rooms, terminal cleaning of operative/invasive areas, and emergency department spaces.
• Execute specialty floor care and carpet care: strip/refinish resilient flooring; extract and terminally disinfect carpet and upholstery; complete special projects as assigned.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies; follow quality control requirements and basic preventive maintenance steps for equipment.
• Remove trash and linen, restock supplies, and uphold room readiness standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, conduct, and both verbal and non-verbal communication; deliver outstanding, service-oriented support to patients and staff.
• Recognize and interpret signs, symbols, labels, and written instructions; follow them precisely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Required: Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English; recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; basic computer skills (email, computer-based training); prior hospital and/or hospitality housekeeping experience; familiarity with equipment such as vacuums, extractors, bovac, and rotary floor machines.

License: Valid California driver’s license required for those authorized to operate vehicles.
