Program Overview

The 17-month Corporate Risk & Broking Graduate Development Program combines orientation, structured onboarding, hands-on experience, and professional development. Graduates build broad industry knowledge, practical skills, and a strong network while developing deeper expertise in their assigned business area.

Placement Areas

• Core Analytics: Apply proprietary models, big data, and risk-tolerance insights to help client teams make informed risk decisions.
• Risk Insurance Optimization: Produce actuarial loss forecasts, evaluate insurance structures, and support strategies across property, auto liability, general liability, cyber, financial liability, and other risks.
• Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions: Help design and place tailored financing solutions—including parametric, structured multiyear, captive stop-loss, and loss portfolio transfer programs—when traditional insurance is constrained or inefficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency in insurance, brokerage, actuarial, analytics, and alternative risk concepts.
• Support the development, maintenance, and use of proprietary risk and program-design models.
• Analyze exposure, loss, statistical, market, and industry data to assess risk and financial impact.
• Prepare clear client deliverables, presentations, submissions, proposals, research, and sales collateral.
• Collaborate with consultants, actuaries, brokers, account leaders, clients, and insurance markets.
• Support placement and renewal activities, including program design, quotation review, comparisons, binders, and policy checks.
• Communicate complex concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all quality, compliance, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA; graduation expected between May 2026 and May 2027.
• Quantitative, risk, or business-related study preferred, including mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, information systems, risk management, finance, or economics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills; R and one or more actuarial exams are advantageous for actuarial-focused work.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow direction, incorporate feedback, manage competing tasks, and deliver accurate work.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to integrity and client service.

Licensing

For Alternative Risk Transfer placement work, the successful candidate must obtain the required resident-state insurance license within 90 days of hire and an active surplus lines license within the applicable 120-day period.

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only). 

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate being offered for this role is $37.00hr – $40.00hr USD. This role is also eligible for overtime.
