We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a leading manufacturing company in Edison, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can provide steady leadership across daily accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced consumer products environment and partner closely with leadership during a period of organizational change.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records across the organization.
• Manage general ledger operations, month-end close processes, and preparation of internal financial reports.
• Review bank reconciliations and balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide interim leadership for the controllership function, supporting business continuity and consistent financial oversight.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to monitor financial performance, address variances, and improve reporting quality.
• Support accounting operations during an enterprise system implementation by maintaining core financial controls and reporting processes.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
• Work cross-functionally with operational teams in a manufacturing and consumer goods setting to align financial processes with business needs.• Proven experience serving in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Strong background in general ledger management, financial close, and account reconciliation activities.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is required; familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or a related product-based industry is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to step into an interim assignment and manage day-to-day finance operations with minimal ramp-up time.
• Solid understanding of financial controls, reporting requirements, and accounting best practices.
• Ability to work primarily on-site in Edison, New Jersey, with one remote workday each week.
• Commitment to remain in the role throughout a 12- to 18-month engagement.
