Heavy Equipment MechanicThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for safely and effectively repairing and servicing numerous types of heavy equipment and vehicles in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Primary duties include:Ensuring that safe practices are followed in all aspects of daily activitiesDiagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately the first timeReading schematics, diagrams, blueprints, etc. to assist with repairs and/or diagnosticsDiagnosing complex electric, hydraulic, and mechanical issues at various locationsRemoving, replacing, and repairing major components on all types of heavy construction, dirt moving, and rock crushing equipmentPerforming routine services on heavy equipmentPerforming on-site repairs in the field as needed in a fast-paced environmentWeekend and night work may occasionally be requiredTravel will be requiredPerforming other duties as assignedBackground requirements include:Must be at least 21 years oldValid driver’s licenseAcceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher’s Company Vehicle Program policy is requiredAbility to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rainStrong technical knowledge of vehicles and heavy equipment repairDetail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal or no guidanceSignificant training in the mechanical fieldBasic computer skills (email, smart phone, Excel)Impeccable communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and backgroundsFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
