QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

Job TitleWorking in the product team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand project requirements and develop test plans and strategiesDesign and execute test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testingIdentify and report software defects, issues, and inconsistencies in a clear and concise manner using issue tracking toolsParticipate in the review and validation of user stories and functional specificationsPerform exploratory testing to identify potential usability and user experience improvementsDevelop and maintain test data and test environments as required for testing purposesDefine the test strategy for live validations, ensuring a smooth transition to production environmentsWork closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects and issuesParticipate in agile development and scrum meetings to provide feedback and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycleConduct root cause analysis of complex defects and work with the development team to identify and implement effective solutionsPresent demos to stakeholders prior to software deployments, effectively communicating the functionality and quality of the softwareKeep up to date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practicesSupport and assist developers with the auto deployment process and build release activitiesMaintain QA environments by updating them with each new software build, ensuring correct configurations and functionalityMonitor project progress and identify potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies as neededMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technological advancements, and business trendsMay be required to perform tasks beyond those explicitly listed in this role.Functional Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Software Tester in a fast-paced environmentStrong technical acumen and ability to understand complex software systemsExperience in designing and executing test cases for various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testingAbility to work in a dynamic environment and context switch between different projects efficiently.Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholdersKnowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plusIdeal candidate will have experience working in the Shipping/Logistics domain and exposure to the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, HTML, C#, SQL, CSSAttention to detail with a focused approach to solving problems, answering questions, and dealing with peopleProfessional demeanor, highly energetic, motivated self-starterExceptional verbal and written professional communication skillsSkilled with use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skillsEEO Statement:General Logistics Systems US is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and is committed to a diverse workforce.
