Registered Nurse, Med Surg (Travel) – Rome, NY

Overview
Registered Nurse in Med Surg with telemetry on a 13-week travel assignment starting 08/31/2026. Earn $2,245 to $2,381 per week with 48 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role is in an inpatient medical-surgical setting with telemetry, with float to a step-down unit as needed. Prioritizes safe, evidence-based care for adult patients requiring medical and post-acute observation, including cardiac monitoring and wound care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac patients and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and cardiac drips, with careful titration as prescribed
- Read and interpret EKG strips; recognize rhythm disturbances and intervene per protocol
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, and routine nursing procedures ensuring aseptic technique
- Document care in Paragon EMR and communicate ongoing patient status to the care team
- Float to step-down as needed per unit requirements; maintain patient safety and директора care coordination

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York State
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Certification required before start
- Flu vaccine or declination accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience; travel experience preferred
- Strong IV skills, confidence with cardiac drips, reading EKG strips, and wound care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting and float to related units as needed

Education
- Nursing degree from an accredited program and current licensure to practice as an RN in New York
