Medical Assistant

A fast-paced Medical Center in Rockland County is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, has an upbeat personality, positive attitude, exceptional commitment to customer service, and is a good multi-tasker. RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit Perform vitals: blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse and record in patient chart Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and accurately completing diagnostic and procedural coding Upkeep of inventory and cleanliness of the exam rooms REQUIREMENTS: Previous medical assistant experience required Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR systems Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to relate with sensitivity to a culturally diverse clientele Availability to work Sundays and some evenings, preferred SALARY/BENEFITS: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Medical benefits PTO and paid holidays for F/T employees 401K Opportunities for growth
