Bilingual Assistant Community Manager

$21 per hour

Asset Living is a third‑party management firm founded in 1986 that manages multifamily, single‑family, affordable, build‑to‑rent, active adult, and student housing properties across the United States. Assistant Community Manager The Assistant Community Manager works under the supervision of the Community Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations and financial functions of the housing community. This role plays a vital part in rent delinquency management and collection to optimize the property’s cash flow and financial position. The Assistant Community Manager manages all phases of operations—personnel, leasing, maintenance, finance, administration, and risk management—in the absence of the Community Manager, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Financial Management Post all payments and income received from applicants, current residents, and non‑current residents accurately, timely, and efficiently. Process and reconcile daily account receivables. Monitor and follow up on bad debt, including preparation of late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and filing evictions. Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and net operating income. Post all charges to resident and non‑current resident accounts, including bill‑back of utilities where applicable. Perform all end‑of‑month closing procedures and reporting. Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accuracy. Walk units to post move‑out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds. Personnel Management Maintain regular/daily onsite attendance. Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff using consistent techniques and company directives. Ensure staff effectiveness through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and guidance in compliance with company benchmarks. Promote harmony and quality job performance through support and effective leadership. Ensure staff compliance and consistency with company policies and procedures. Implement effective leasing techniques to secure closures, follow‑up procedures, signing/documentation of leases, and accurate reporting. Implement marketing strategies and systems outlined in the annual marketing plan. Handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure satisfaction. Develop and implement resident retention programs such as functions, promotions, and newsletters. Show, lease, and move in prospective residents effectively. Administrative Management Provide excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness of maintenance staff. Maintain property appearance and ensure timely repair completion through regular inspections and tours. Assist in supervising all business functions related to operations. Plan for and utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically (e.g., obtaining bids/pricing from vendors and contractors). Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years of experience in the housing industry; or one to two years of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. Physical Requirements Regular standing or sitting for prolonged periods, frequent movement around the workplace, and the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs. Occasional ladder, stair, scaffolding, and ramp use; operation of machinery, power tools, and golf carts. Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, emergencies, and in outdoor or confined spaces under varying temperature and weather conditions. Salary Range : $21 per hour to $26 per hour Compensation and benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401K with employer matching, performance bonuses, paid sick days, and company holidays.
