Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Providing guidance and education to patients and their families regarding wellness, disease prevention, and management
• Prescribing medications and treatments within your authorized scope

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within three months)
