Job Description Job Title About the Department Join the Revenue Cycle team at Henry Ford Health, based at One Ford Place, our corporate headquarters in Detroit's New Center. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health of our organization, supporting all HFH hospitals, outpatient clinics, and employed physician practices. Role Overview As a CBO Billing Specialist, you'll manage insurance accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and compliant claim submissions to third-party payers. Your work supports the financial integrity of Henry Ford Health, enabling us to provide exceptional care to our patients. This role is vital to resolving payer denials, following up on claims, and optimizing revenue cycle processes. What You Will Do Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient financial, insurance, and demographic information for compliant claim submissions. Resolve payer denials and follow up on claims requiring additional payer response. Oversee billing and collection of payments across all HFH hospitals, outpatient clinics, and employed physician practices. Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet third-party payer requirements. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office or healthcare-related environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle role. Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS codes, and revenue coding.
