Location: Camarillo, CA

Pay Range: $18.50hr.

What's the Job?

Primary Function: Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions. Essential Functions:

• Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.
• Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and potting materials.
• Able to interface with customers if necessary. Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
• Perform connector assemblies. Perform work with limited to no supervision.
• Train and assist Assembler 1s.
• Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
• Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
• Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
• Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
• Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
• Paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
• Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment.
• Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area. Stage materials for shipment as required.
• Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

Basic Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English. Ability to use calculators Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
