Laboratory Assistant

Position Overview Under supervision of the section supervisor, performs Laboratory non-technical assignments in a timely manner according to UHS Hospitals’, Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures. Priority is given to STAT specimens require immediate processing.

Lab Services, UHS Hospitals and Physician Practices

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Enrolled in a degree program in a related field of study
• Phlebotomy Training
