Press Operator (4)

Overview This position is responsible for setting up and operating a multi-color automatic screen-printing press, operating the DMI, and addressing any printing issues by making print adjustments, as needed, to maintain print quality, registration, color, and production speed. The Press Operator will have a good understanding of inks, solvents, and can print line, halftone, and four-color copy on a variety of substrates. Duties & Responsibilities Checking CD/PDF and Job Ticket to verify quantities, garment colors, overrun tolerance, color sequence, substrate Setting up and operating the press Setting dryers to properly dry and/or cure inks Printing the job while maintaining optimum production speed and making press adjustments, as needed, to maintain print quality, registration, and color Operates the DMI Logs the reason codes when the press stops Following the company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and applicable laws Maintaining a clean workstation and press area Experience & Education Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1-3 years of related experience and/or training Combination of education and experience Good judgement of color, design, and print quality Skills Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos Able to write simple correspondences Able to communicate effectively one-on-one and in groups with customers and other employees Able to perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Reasoning Ability Understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions Problem solving Physical Demands Capable of using hands Standing for long periods of time Able to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for short periods of time Able to regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds Able to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds Job Category: Production Job Type: Full Time Job Location: T-Shirt Tycoon Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Retail Apparel and Fashion #J-18808-Ljbffr T-Shirt Tycoon Solutions Inc
