CNC Machinist – LaOtto, IN

A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its team in LaOtto, IN. This is an opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to produce complex, tight-tolerance components. Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications
• Select, install, and adjust tooling and workholding fixtures
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for quality and efficiency
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized work area

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines
• Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills
• Working knowledge of G-code and Mastercam
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred:

• Technical degree or certification in CNC Machining or a related field
• Experience operating Mazak lathes
