Founding Engineer

Goliath Partners has exclusively teamed up with an early stage startup AI Lab in NYC currently valued at over $1B just after announcing their Series A. The firm has built a multimodal generalist agent at the frontier of AI merging cutting edge neural architectures with long term memory, reinforcement learning, and continual adaptation. Their team is comprised of talent coming from Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and Apple. The team is built up of some incredibly well educated individuals as well as some wildly successful entrepreneurial engineers. The CTO has built and sold his last 3 businesses and the last one for $500M after only 2.5 years of work. The opportunity to work this closely with a team of this caliber is rare. Another exciting piece, the product is currently “pre market fit”. You will contribute to work that could be molded and influenced in a direction that you have a hand in! Lots of greenfield and 0 to 1 development that reports directly into the CTO. The team is currently under 3 engineers and less than 45 people in total (40 on the research side). The team is eager to bring on a Founding Fullstack AI Engineer to join the team. There is a bit of wiggle room on tenure necessary, we are looking at those with anywhere from 4 Years of Experience onwards. Role Highlights Design and deploy scalable search/retrieval pipelines for heterogeneous data (structured + unstructured). Build Backend systems that manage context and power RAG based workflows for autonomous agents. Combine LLMs, vision models, reinforcement learning, and orchestration scaffolds to enable robust multi step agent behavior. Total Comp: $250-350k from a base perspective.
