Contract LPN - Correctional Nursing

Provide nursing care to inmates in a secure facility in Madison, WI for an 8-week assignment. Deliver clinical services, documentation, and education while supporting the facility's safety and health protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to inmates, ensuring adherence to facility protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and observations.
• Educate inmates on health management, medication adherence, and preventive care.
• Execute necessary procedures with precision, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Wisconsin.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of corrections or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Experience working in secure facility environments.
• Physical capability to perform nursing duties in correctional settings.

Preferred Skills:

• First Aid certification (preferred).
• Prior exposure to working with diverse inmate populations (preferred).
