Step into a vital role supporting the mental health and well-being of high school students as a Social Worker within the education sector. This on-site contract position is located near Thornton, CO, with an immediate start date and commitment through May 21, 2027. You'll be assigned to one high school campus, working 37.5 hours per week, with opportunities to serve students with a wide range of needs—including those identified with mild to moderate challenges, Affective Needs, and Significant Support Needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with School Counselor Endorsement required
• Previous experience in special education (SPED) settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to provide school-based mental health services and interventions
• Flexible background—open to both Social Workers and School Psychologists, with a caseload focused on high school age students
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, engaging with both students and interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing and district documentation prior to assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior support for students as per IEP requirements
• Develop and implement strategies to promote student social-emotional learning and resilience
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and service providers to support student success
• Maintain organized case notes and compliance with district and state standards
• Actively participate in school-based meetings and IEP planning
