Job Title: LVN/LPN Location: Hot Springs, South Dakota Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate : $44 - $47/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a LVN/LPN for a temporary assignment in Hot Springs, South Dakota. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a LVN/LPN: Provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Serves as a direct channel of communication between the patient and the assigned Registered Nurse Renders personal hygiene care and participates in the formulation and updating of the patient's care plan Administers medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, and records them Applies and enforces infection control policies and practices Appropriately organizes time, effort, and energy in rendering care, exercising judgment in establishing priorities Reports incidents and changes in patient's condition to the Registered Nurse Takes appropriate action in stressful, unusual, and emergency situations Establishes good interpersonal relationships and appropriate interactions, demonstrating understanding, patience, and tact Accepts and applies constructive criticism Provides patient instruction during hospitalization and upon discharge Assists with orientation and continued learning of new staff members and students Maintains professional and clinical competence through active participation in continuing education programs Applies and shares new knowledge and skills Maintains current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse Maintains current CPR and ACLS certifications Utilizes basic computer skills and learns various computer programs as required Benefits for a LVN/LPN: Weekly pay every Friday Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Pet Insurance 401K Retirement Plan (matching) Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $1,500 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
