Warehouse Lead

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the overall performance of warehouse operations for the Houston

facility. Due to the size and shipment volume of the site, this role combines warehouse leadership

responsibilities with direct hands-on execution of receiving, shipping, picking, documentation control, and

inventory management activities.

This position owns inventory accuracy, material flow, and the timely execution of all inbound and outbound

shipments. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, staged, and

shipped accurately to support production and customer requirements.

The Warehouse Lead provides daily direction to the Material Handler, prioritizes warehouse activities

based on business needs, and ensures all processes are executed in alignment with Safety, Quality,

Delivery, Inventory, and Cost objectives.

Knowledge / Skills:
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, invoicing, inventory

control, and material handling
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing

List, SLI preferred)
• Strong organizational and documentation control skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of warehouse operations

Qualifications / Education / Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5-6 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory management, and stock adjustments
• Forklift certification required

Duties / Responsibilities:
• Direct and prioritize daily warehouse activities based on production and shipment schedules
• Supervise and support the Material Handler, providing daily direction, prioritization, and

accountability
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Ensure all inventory transactions, movements, and adjustments are accurately recorded in the

ERP system • Verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and escalate issues immediately • Receive materials into the ERP system (Tribute) accurately and in a timely manner • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored in designated locations • Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations to support efficient material flow • Ensure materials are staged, issued, and available to support production schedules • Return unused materials to inventory with accurate system transactions • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, discrepancies, or excess and obsolete materials • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Generate and validate shipping documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLI) • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipment pickups • Ensure all outbound shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and secured • Scan, upload, and maintain all receiving and shipping documentation in accordance with company requirements • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready documentation records in shared drives and systems • Ensure all documentation is properly linked to corresponding transactions • Support documentation requests for internal, customer, or regulatory audits • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and proper material handling practices • Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes, organization, and material flow

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Maintain inventory accuracy of ≥ 95%
• Ensure discrepancies are identified and reported at time of receipt
• Maintain ≥ 95% on-time shipment completion based on scheduled ship dates
• Ensure materials are available to support production without preventable delays
• Maintain 100% documentation accuracy and compliance
• Ensure warehouse is organized, clean, and audit-ready at all times
• Follow all safety procedures and proactively report hazards

Physical / Environmental Requirements:
• Frequent loading and unloading of freight, pallets, and boxed materials
• Repetitive lifting, pushing, and moving materials up to 50 lbs
• Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Regular use of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
• Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

Security Access:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship and the

ability to successfully pass a government background investigation.
