Step into a meaningful contract opportunity utilizing your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology within a school-based setting just outside Portland, ME. Collaborate with a supportive educational team to make a positive impact on students’ communication skills and overall success in the classroom.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in the state of Maine (or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required
- Previous experience working with children in schools is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain thorough records and provide regular updates on student performance
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the SLP field
