Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of the Early Intervention system! They play a vital role in supporting children in the NC Infant-Toddler Program and empowering families as their child's first and most important teachers. Research shows that birth to age three is a critical period for building family competence and confidence—offering a powerful opportunity to positively influence a child's development and learning.

Key duties of EISCs include:

• Collaborating with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams to identify families' needs for supports and services
• Conducting home visits to provide guidance and coordinate care
• Coordinating services such as speech, occupational, and physical therapy
• Arranging and monitoring early intervention services to ensure continuity and quality
• Planning for children's smooth transition to other services at age three

Work Schedule: M – F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.*Daily travel by car is required within the CDSA catchment area*

Recruitment Range: $37,377 - $47,296

The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:

• Thorough knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of the field of early childhood developmental disabilities and infant mental health, including assessments and development of comprehensive treatment plans.
• Working skills in developing and writing individualized family service plans with the ability to evaluate and document child progress and adjust the plan as needed.
• Working experience coordinating and instructing staff, family members, and care providers in carrying out methods and techniques utilized in developmental disabilities and infant and child mental health and family studies fields.
• Working ability to establish rapport and relate to clients, families, community agencies, and groups, and a variety of service disciplines.
• Working knowledge of managing time independently and develop and use methods of organization to facilitate compliance with all timelines, documentation requirements, and procedural safeguards.

Physical Requirements (If Applicable): Must be able to drive a vehicle in a multi-county area and access homes with stairs.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of professional experience working with the population served.

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
