Job Overview A law firm seeks a dedicated Litigation Attorney for its Woodbury, NY office. This full-time, in-person role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in litigation and creditors' rights cases. The attorney will work closely with partners, handling significant case responsibilities in a collaborative environment. Duties Handle litigation caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Represent clients in both virtual and in-person court appearances. Manage cases from commencement through resolution, ensuring thorough preparation. Review matters for compliance with federal and state consumer protection rights. Perform additional duties as needed. Requirements Admission to the New York bar. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Familiarity with the FDCPA is a plus. Proficiency in drafting motions and conducting legal research. Ability to manage cases with moderate autonomy. Spanish speaking is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications New York Bar Admission. Skills Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
