This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking variety and engagement, with paid travel time and a supportive team environment.

As a school-based SLP, you will play a crucial role in helping students reach their communication goals. Your expertise will be valued as you manage assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate with teachers and families to create meaningful progress.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active Virginia SLP license
• Experience working in school settings, preferably at the high school level
• Strong understanding of the IEP process, including writing and updating plans
• Proficient in conducting student evaluations and administering assessments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to provide direct therapy sessions for diverse student needs
• Comfortable with technology for virtual meetings (Zoom/Teams)

In this position, you will:

• Complete assessments and student evaluations
• Write, update, and monitor IEPs to support student success
• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students across assigned high school(s)
• Participate in team meetings and actively contribute your expertise
• Attend meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school staff and families
• Receive payment for all hours worked within the contracted timeframe, including travel time between schools
