Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and initial consultations to assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions.

• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing techniques that encourage participation and promote healing.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective support.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to create cohesive intervention plans for clients requiring comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to track treatment progress and outcomes.

• Engage with family members and caregivers, providing them with essential tools and strategies to manage mental health challenges.

• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and develop preventative strategies to mitigate these risks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on diverse clients, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing varied mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your approach will be sensitive to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, ensuring culturally competent care that recognizes and respects individual differences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective client interactions and documentation.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
