ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer V

ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer Join our team to work on a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product within a world‑class integrated product development environment. Location This position is onsite in Cambridge, MA. Teleworking is not supported. Schedule Flexible 9x80 schedule; every other Friday off. Responsibilities Work with low SWaP, radiation‑hardened, space‑rated devices. Perform all aspects of ASIC and FPGA development through the lifecycle from requirements capture through architecture, design, analysis, simulation, and test in a Linux‑based high‑performance computing environment. Support technical reviews and present to internal and external stakeholders. Interface with an independent verification team working in parallel to verify the design. Qualifications 8+ years professional FPGA development experience. HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog. Experience in ASIC/FPGA lifecycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test). Linux development environment proficiency. Will‑to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship required. Independent, well‑organized engineer comfortable in laboratory digital environments and capable of engaging a dynamic fast‑moving team. Desired Skills FPGA/ASIC verification experience. Experience with electronics design. Lab integration and troubleshooting activities. Knowledge of space‑grade/qualified FPGAs and ASICs, and toolsets including AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero. Experience with MS Project, JIRA. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Mentoring junior engineers.
