Act as the primary interface between Airbus Central Program Support and the LAC market, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities Fleet performance & program development (70%) Monitor and recommend improvements to regional fleet performance, ensuring safe and economical operations while mitigating financial exposure. Define, apply, and advertise mitigations for regional fleet issues of A320 and A330 programs, coordinating final fixes with the SBS program team. Support Program teams and Customer Services organizations by providing in‑service data, dashboards, reports, and supporting Aircraft and Services Sales activities. Partner with the Customer Support Director community and Global Account Management strategy to enhance customer relationships. Build knowledge of A320 and A330 program status, maintaining strong working relationships with central program teams to relay key in‑service issues. Use and promote fleet performance tools, supporting LAC region customers. Cooperate with authorities to monitor safety, reliability, and economics; propose necessary actions. Develop partnerships with regional customers through regular visits, Fleet Performance Reviews, Technical Review Meetings, and regional seminars and workshops. Assist operators in reducing learning curves and transferring knowledge; gather operational, maintenance, and airworthiness requirements from LAC customers. Ensure customer satisfaction index for fleet performance meets annual regional targets. Maintain A320 and A330 program regional fleet operational reliability in line with annual global and regional targets. Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for the region; follow up on retrofit campaigns and highlight key findings. Prepare, support, and participate in sector seminars and yearly events. Verify all customer service business units deliver scheduled outputs. Contribute to the Customer Service Improvement Program (CSIP) per yearly targets for the LAC region. Entry Into Service (EIS) support (10%) – Prepare and support new program EIS with close linkage to SBx program. Safety (10%) – Provide expertise and support to safety organizations; evaluate airline and MRO practices to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality. Deliverables (10%) – Maintain SB Customer Dashboards, Digital Control Room (DCR) LAC fleet performance monthly reports (MOR), regional quarterly report (RBR), fleet performance tools/support map, quarterly retrofit highlights, and program regional seminars. Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned. Travel, Citizenship & Clearance 25% domestic and international travel required. Authorized to work in the U.S. with no security clearance required. Qualifications Education – Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum 4 years post‑high school). Master’s degree preferred. Experience – Over 10 years in Customer Services, airline maintenance, or engineering; strong ability to defend Airbus Customer Services interests. Regulatory Knowledge – FAA/EASA regulations (at least JAR121, JAR145, JAR66) preferred. Industry Insight – Deep understanding of airline operations, maintenance, supply chain, and flight operations. Soft Skills – Excellent presentation, coordination, relational, and communication skills; ability to work across cultures and in a collaborative team. Language – Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken); Portuguese is highly desirable. Technical Systems – Experienced with Electronic Data Processing systems. Decision Making – Result‑oriented, autonomous, and able to meet short deadlines. Physical Requirements 80% onsite; remote for 20%. Vision, hearing, and speaking within normal limits. Operation of standard office and personal electronic equipment. Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, and walk within office spaces. Travel independently at short notice.
