Hai Hospitality (Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba) is accepting applications for Line Cooks. In this role, you will serve as a vital member of our kitchen team to create amazing dining experiences for our guests. Compensation & Schedule Compensation ranges between $20 - $24 per hour based on experience. We offer a full‑time schedule with 4 days on and 3 days off per week. Benefits Medical / Dental / Vision / Accident insurance options available Employee Assistance Program with mental health services available Employer Matched 401k Savings plan Opportunity to grow – we promote from within almost exclusively Dining discounts Responsibilities Serve as a vital member of the kitchen team, creating amazing dining experiences for guests Communicate effectively with guests and other employees Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs; stock inventory and perform restocking duties Stand, walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items Work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment at various temperatures, both hot and cold Reconfigure seating arrangements by lifting, pushing, or pulling objects such as tables and chairs Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs Work in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area Tolerate exposure to potential allergens and food odors Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and personal grooming Understand directives and communicate effectively with leadership and coworkers Qualifications Effective communication with guests and other employees Detection and compliance with safety guidelines and standards Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform restocking duties Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods Adaptability to fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments at varied temperatures Capability to reconfigure seating arrangements by moving furniture Proficiency with kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and knives Maintenance of a clean and organized workspace Responsiveness to customer needs in a crowded setting Tolerance of potential allergens and food odors Presentation of a professional and hygienic appearance Clear understanding of directives and effective communication with leadership and coworkers Disability Accommodations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with a disability to perform the essential functions.
