Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex software solutions to accomplish business goals. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, with solutions that are well-designed for maintainability and ease of integration. This position requires expertise in multiple languages including Python, Ansible, Java, C#, and Bash within a CI/CD environment.

Responsibilities:

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices and automating tool stack
• Execute story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automate manual release activities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• Provide technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations
• Accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery

Requirements:

• 5+ years of solid experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages such as Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting
• Proficiency with C#
• Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle and MySQL
• Application development methodologies and infrastructure as well as analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
