Here, your contributions count and your voice is heard.About the Role:We're hiring a Forklift Service Technician with solid mechanical experience—especially with forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet jacks, and diesel or electric-powered equipment. If you're after consistent, hands-on work where your knowledge and experience matter and you have a desire to grow your career, we want to hear from you! You will handle repairs to well-known material handling brands, solve deep mechanical problems, and work with a reliable team that is proud of their work and the relationships they build with each other and with customers. This position services the Greater Harrisonburg & Winchester, VA area. The ideal candidate would live in this area.What You'll Do:Diagnose and repair forklifts (electric, gas, diesel, propane) and aerial lifts like boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlersWork with leading brands like Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack (depending on branch availability)Handle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system repairsStay current with OEM updates, service bulletins, and equipment upgradesRecommend planned maintenance and safety programs to reduce customer downtimeMentor junior technicians and help create a team-first environmentKeep your tools, workspace, and service vehicle organized and stockedLoad and unload equipment when neededAlways prioritize safety by using PPE and following company protocolsSkills & Experience We're Looking For:Proven experience working on forklifts, aerial lifts, or other heavy equipment (engines, hydraulics, electrical systems)Familiarity with leading brands like Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and SkyjackExperience reading technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagramsSkilled with diagnostic tools, software, and repair equipment like multimeters and pressure gaugesGreat communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform hands-on workDegree or certification in Diesel Technology or similar (preferred)Experience with battery-powered equipment and charging systems is a bonus!Benefits:Competitive pay based on experienceExcellent benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and 401K with Company MatchProgressive Paid Time Off and Holidays – starting with 3 weeks PTO in your first yearPaid parental leave for moms and dadsOpportunities for growth and internal promotionAnnual Community Impact Day – paid volunteer time in the places we work and liveOur goal is to improve the quality of work life by using fair and consistent treatment and providing equal growth opportunities for all team members.
