Position Title Bilingual Elementary Teachers Pre‑K to Sixth Grade Job Overview Conroe ISD is accepting applications for Elementary Bilingual Teachers, Pre‑K to Sixth grade. Provide bilingual students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable bilingual students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Responsibilities Provide bilingual curriculum and instruction for Pre‑K to Sixth grade students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development. Qualifications Certified and highly qualified to teach grade level and subject area(s). Will consider alternative certification candidates who have passed the appropriate content area TExES test(s). Education and Certification Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned to include bilingual certification Special Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction General knowledge of second language acquisition and cross‑linguistic instruction practices Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to fluently communicate (i.e. speak, read and write) in Spanish Mental, Physical, and Environmental Demands Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged and/or irregular hours. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
