About Our Organization

Our Primary Care facility is situated at 1747 Village Park, Orangeburg, SC 29118. The program welcomed its inaugural group of four residents in June 2026.

Our medical center is a 286-bed acute care hospital, functioning as a comprehensive extension of the state's leading academic health system. We provide essential emergency, primary, and specialized medical services to Orangeburg and its surrounding rural areas.

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine

• Unrestricted South Carolina medical license and registration for federal and state-controlled substances

• Proven interest in resident education

• Compassionate, professional demeanor with a commitment to lifelong learning

• Collaborative spirit and dedication to delivering high-quality patient care

Position Highlights

• Work alongside the Residency Program Director to influence the organization, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the new training program

• Potential for future leadership roles as the residency program expands

• Balance responsibilities between education, administration, and clinical care

• Act as a mentor, role model, and advisor to residents in the program

• Engage in the selection, orientation, and assessment of residents

• Contribute to the creation of program curriculum and evaluation tools

• Ensure appropriate levels of resident supervision to maintain patient safety

• Assist in integrating ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools

• Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees

• Prepare and conduct structured educational activities

• Engage actively in faculty development initiatives
