Music Therapy Contract Position

What We're Looking For:

• Active National Certification in Music Therapy
• Experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings
• Knowledge of therapeutic evaluation and treatment strategies for children
• Completion of required background checks, including district fingerprinting and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school staff and families
• A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to motivate and inspire young people

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group music therapy sessions for 34 students per service day
• Develop and implement creative, evidence-based music therapy interventions
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress notes for each student
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student support
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings (as needed) to discuss student goals and progress
• Adjust interventions as needed to best meet each student's needs and learning style

This contract position runs from 7/29/2026 through 5/27/2027, offering you the opportunity to work closely with 7 students (seen on a bi-weekly rotation). Assignments may span multiple campuses, providing variety and the chance to build relationships in diverse settings.
