Music Therapist Position
Step into an impactful school-based contract role, supporting students as a dedicated Music Therapist. In this position, you'll leverage your expertise to provide therapeutic music sessions to a diverse group of children, nurturing their growth and wellness throughout the academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Active National Certification as a Music Therapist required
- Experience providing therapy to children or within a school setting preferred
- Commitment to ethical and confidential practice
- Successful completion of district fingerprinting (background check) and drug screening
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work independently across campuses as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored music therapy services to approximately 34 students per day, with each student seen biweekly
- Develop and implement individualized session plans to support student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize therapy outcomes
- Accurately document sessions and monitor student progress
- Adjust strategies based on student needs and feedback
- Maintain compliance with school district policies and credentialing requirements
This contract opportunity covers the 20262027 academic year, starting July 29, 2026, and ending May 27, 2027. Students on the caseload range in age, and you'll be serving a close-knit group, allowing you to build meaningful connections. The specific campuses and exact number of assigned schools will be determined.
