Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA

Must-Have:
ORT experience
Must have scrub experience

Description:
Unit has 13 surgical suites.
Average number of cases per day is 35.
Required certifications include BLS and surgical tech certification.
Common cases include general surgery, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, GYN, robotics, plastics, vascular, and ophthalmology.
Neuro and cardiac surgeries have separate teams.
Charge nurse and house supervisor are available.
Self-scheduling is not allowed, but staff can sign up for call shifts.
Primary shifts are needed from 3 PM to 11 PM or 11 AM to 11 PM.
A minimum of one weekday call shift per week is required with a response time of 30 minutes.
On weekends, call is required up to every other weekend, also with a 30-minute response time.
Staff is expected to rotate call with a 30-minute response time.
Floating to other surgical departments may be required.
Scrubs will be provided.
Unit and department orientation will be conducted by existing staff.
A cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment or extension, and 1 shift for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
The charting system used is EPIC.
