Job Title: Chemical Wastewater Technician (Paying up to $28/hr)

Job Summary

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot wastewater treatment systems in a manufacturing environment while ensuring safe, compliant handling of wastewater, sludge, and hazardous waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, filter presses, and control systems.
• Calibrate and maintain pH, ORP, and flow monitoring equipment.
• Handle, label, and manage hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
• Perform chemical additions and support treatment processes.
• Respond to spills and follow established safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational and compliance records.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial wastewater treatment and hazardous waste handling.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot treatment equipment and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.

Work Environment Manufacturing facility setting with exposure to chemicals, wastewater, and industrial equipment. Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Gardena, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
