Estimator - Commercial Shell Contractor

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Recruitment Consultant @ Allegiance Group - Construction Location: Stuart, Florida Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 (DOE) + Benefits Our client, a well-established commercial shell contractor serving Florida’s coastal markets, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Stuart. This role is critical to the company’s continued growth and will focus on preparing accurate, competitive estimates for concrete, structural, and building shell scopes across a variety of commercial projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates and bids for commercial shell and structural concrete projects from conceptual through hard bid. Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine accurate quantities, labor, material, and equipment costs. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Develop value engineering options and cost‑saving alternatives when applicable. Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership during preconstruction and handoff. Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases to support accurate forecasting. Assist with change order pricing and budget revisions as needed. Participate in bid reviews and project kickoff meetings. Required Experience & Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator with a commercial shell, concrete, or structural contractor. 3+ years of estimating experience on commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of concrete, formwork, rebar, and shell construction methods. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency with estimating software and tools (Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, or similar). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
