We are committed to achieving excellence in Environmental, Health & Safety through our Mission Zero initiative.MPS – Alabaster is seeking a detail-driven and motivated Maintenance Technician responsible for applying electrical theory and related knowledge, assists engineers in the design, evaluation and repair of electrical equipment.This role is Onsite in Alabaster, ALWhat You'll DoProvide basic technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during and after constructionAssemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instrumentsCollaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define and solve developmental problemsAnalyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problemsDraw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of experimental electronics unitsInstall, repair, modify and upgrade industrial control systems; control systems may be relay controlled, microprocess based on PLC logic (i.e., PLC programming and troubleshooting)Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendationsPrepare project cost and work-time estimates when neededComplete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedWhat You'll Need to Excel in This RolePerform work under direct supervisionHandle basic issues and problems and refer to more complex issues to higher-level staffPossess beginning to working knowledge of subject matterTypically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experienceAbility to interpret work instructionsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsIntermediate verbal and written communication skillsTechnical expertiseDesign expertiseTotal Rewards Offering: MPS offers a competitive compensation package; including a bonus potential based on company performance and a dynamic work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
