Systems Analyst - Employee Benefits

Location: Summa Health Corporate Office - 1077 Gorge Blvd, Akron, OH 44310 Full-time / Benefits Eligible Summary Reviews, coordinates, analyzes, and processes benefits’ events; troubleshoots, and resolves problems using HRIS systems. Administers, promotes, and evaluates Summa’s comprehensive benefits program. Assists in ensuring compliance with policies and provisions of insurance plans. Serves as back-up to senior team. Minimum Qualifications Formal Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience & Training Required: Three (3) years of experience working with HRIS software systems, employee benefits, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability), or Human Resources experience, which has provided the opportunity to utilize a variety of software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office suite with Excel, and PowerPoint); and experience utilizing HRIS systems. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines; Knowledge of benefit laws such as Section 125, ERISA, EEO Regulations, FMLA, COBRA, ACA etc.; Strong attention to detail; Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; Ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of employees, state agencies and external vendors; Always maintains confidentiality; Ability to perform in a team environment. Level of Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
