About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to join their team in a pivotal senior leadership role. The successful candidate will be the chief legal advisor to the board, CEO, and executive leadership team, with a focus on shaping legal strategy and influencing corporate direction. This includes overseeing public company governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide risk management. The role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, particularly in the evolution of legal infrastructure to ensure it scales effectively with the company's growth. The General Counsel will also be responsible for strengthening governance discipline, financial rigor, and organizational resilience. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, with a strong background in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, corporate governance, and public company operations. The role requires a proven ability to build and scale legal functions, systems, and processes, as well as a deep understanding of equity compensation structures, employment law, and executive agreements. Experience in M&A, capital markets, commercial contracting, or data privacy regulations is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence at the board level. A low-ego, hands-on leadership style with a focus on mentoring and developing legal talent is also essential.
